SMKW President Kevin Pipes was personally touched when he learned of the death of a close friend's brother. David Randolph, only 33, was killed in November when his convoy was attacked near Fallujah. Though not a soldier at the time of his death, Randolph was an ex-Marine and former police officer. He had previously served in Iraq as a Second Lieutenant with the Army National Guard.
