The factory sewed a portion of the sheaths' belt loops closed allowing only about an inch for a belt to pass through. The knives and sheaths are otherwise fully functional--speaking of otherwise, that's how you'll have to figure out to carry 'em since they won't go on your belt!

Most of today's fixed blade tactical knives still resemble the first Bronze Age daggers of 4000 years ago, especially in the handle shape. Knife designer Michael Martinez did not initially seek to re-create traditional knife handles, but he began to notice that many just "didn't feel right." With his design firm, Group Design Inc., Michael reached out to a team of medical specialists for help in creating new scientific criteria for knife handles. It was determined that the ideal knife handle would have 23 points. The Ultima™ achieves 22 of those contact points.
