Management Information Systems, Order Entry, Purchasing,
and Retail. SMKW publishes and mails a full-color catalog
monthly, operates an 80,000 square foot Distribution Center,
and runs the "World's Largest Knife Showplace." |

is open (EST):
Sunday 9am - 9pm
Monday 8am to 2am

| The
Accounting Department staff manages the accounting and
financial affairs of SMKW, which includes varied functions
such as bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable,
shipping and sales reports, inventory control, and payroll
records. |
| The
Catalog Department is responsible for maintaining and
promoting vendor relations, selecting new products, and
organizing new and existing products into pages for SMKW
catalog production. Our Catalog Coordinators work closely
with the Art & Marketing Department in the design
and development of each SMKW Catalog. |
| The
eCommerce Department administers and maintains SMKW's
website. SMKW "hosts" its website on its own server, connected
to the "world wide web" via a series of high-powered telephone
lines. On a daily basis, SMKW webmasters change the merchandise
on the SMKW website, monitor customer orders, and keep
the SMKW website on the cutting edge of eCommerce. |

| Management
Information Systems Department or "MIS" is responsible
for all SMKW computer functions and equipment, ranging
from the mainframe to PC's and individual workstations.

| Employees
at the SMKW Distribution Center in Dandridge, Tennessee
pack and ship thousands of catalog orders every day. The
Distribution Center also serves as SMKW's warehouse. more

our Retail Showroom in Sevierville, Tennessee, we have
over 50,000 square feet of showroom floorspace. That's
a lot of ground to cover. Our senior sales associates
and sales associates are always happy to help you find
the item you're looking for and answer all of your questions.

graphic artists in the Art & Marketing Department
transform catalog layouts into digital artwork, ready
for printing. The Art & Marketing Department schedules
and coordinates the printing and distribution of SMKW
catalogs and designs all SMKW marketing brochures, advertisements,
signs, and retail showroom artwork. |
| The
Collectibles Department, which specializes in vintage
and collectible knives, purchases knife collections from
around the country. After purchase, collectible knives
are marketed by SMKW in our Retail Showroom, by private
party sale to dealers, or over the Internet on eKnifeWorks.com.

| The
HR Department is responsible for recruiting, hiring, and
training SMKW employees; coordinating employee benefits,
such as medical insurance, FMLA, and Workers' Compensation;
and revising, maintaining and administering SMKW employee
policies, practices and procedures. |
| The
Purchasing Department is responsible for ordering all
SMKW merchandise, whether sold through the catalog, eKnifeWorks.com,
or the Retail Showroom. The Purchasing Department staff
monitors inventory levels, prepares and transmits purchase
orders to vendors, and tracks ordered merchandise to ensure
that customer orders can be shipped immediately. |
